Dishes, on the other hand was pretty difficult to learn at first. I remember my mom scolding me when she tasted my first adobo: "Langya Ben, lasang sinigang." Guess I shouldn't have mixed it too early. But then, I learned how to cook a variety of stuff other than that: Caldereta, Chicken Curry, Sinigang, Afritada....stuff like that. For now, I'm trying my hand on the radically different japanese cuisine. I can make California Makis now! huzzah! other than that, there's no other japanese dish I can cook.
So, I'm taking this space to tell you guys that learning how to cook is really, really beneficial, instead of eating stuff in plastic bags and sweet things from the convenience store. Besides, real cooking is waaaay more tasty, other than junk food.
Oh, and, cooking shows do help if you're still trying to learn how to cook. kudos to channel 11 for the back to back cooking shows. Besides that, it's a good break from drawing manga, and you could say it's my stress-buster.(look ma, no curses in one blog post!)
So yeah, fried rice is awesome. and not just because it's delicious, but cause the people who eat it most usually smile at you and say, "Astig! lupet nito ah." Now that's the best part about fried rice. ^_^
(Ben is currently hard at work on his mangas entitled Cataract and Half-Pipe, but he'll probably be selling the first chapters in any upcoming convention. he also wonders why he's talking in third person in this small encapsulated ending.hmmm.)
